A GREEN-FINGERED thief has helped himself to a carrier bag of "exotic succulents" on Falmouth seafront.
According to a local facebook page, the man - believed to be in his late 60s - has taken plants from the Gyllyngvase Beach area, many of which were planted by volunteers during the town's Spring Festival.
The cheeky chap was spotted early in the morning of Tuesday, May 8.
He is described as being "quite well dressed" and of average height. He was a wearing a black and white check flat cap, a short beige jacket and carrying a shoulder bag.
The post said: "He wasn't just taking the odd cutting - he had a full carrier bag of exotic succulents, some of which had only been put in the beds by the Gylly Cafe three days before.
It continued: "He was seen walking from Queen Mary Gardens towards the chapel, then he crossed over and walked back towards Gylly Beach.
"It would be lovely to catch him in the act or at least take a photo of him which can be given to the police. Let's be quite sure - this is theft of something that belongs to all of us!"
