SHARING your big day with the Royal couple may not be everybody's cup of tea, but for two lovebirds from Flushing, it was an honour.

Not only did Jodie Noyes and Michael Perrin tie the knot on the same day as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, they even married at exactly the same time - high noon.

Jodie, aged 33, said: "I'm very much a Royalist and I'd definitely have watched it had we not been getting married.

"We'd already booked our wedding and I remember when they first announced that theirs would be in May - I thought, I bet it ends up being on the 19th!" she told the Packet.

While Jodie and Michael's day cost a fraction of the estimated £30million of the Royal union, they enjoyed a lavish wedding and reception for 100 guests at the Carlyon Bay Hotel.

"Not only did we miss the wedding but some of the men were also worried about missing the FA Cup final. Michael is an Everton fan so there wasn't much chance of his team being in the final!" she joked.

Jodie, who works in a Falmouth boutique called Love from Luella, wore a dress made by Penryn bridal expert Caroline Fricker.

Michael, aged 36, has a business manufacturing lockers, much of which he sells in Australia having lived there for six years.

After a sun-blessed wedding on Saturday, the happy couple returned to their home village to enjoy the street party in honour of Prince Harry and Meghan.
