Penryn Women’s Institute celebrated their 80th anniversary at their last meeting yesterday afternoon.
The group, who still meet every week at the Welfare Hall in West Street, marked the milestone with some cake and champagne.
One of the WI’s longest serving members, Betty Jenking cut the cake and group president, Dot Wickham was given a plant to thank her for all her work.
