Penryn dance group to perform with Flava

A dance group from Penryn College will perform with a professional group after blowing away competition from across the county on Tuesday – and they choreographed their routine themselves.

Remenition DC will perform with Flava – of Britain’s Got Talent fame – after being voted the best dance group of 31 in the competition at Penryn College on Tuesday, July 8.

After winning their self-choreographed category, the judges voted their routine the best of the whole competition, which included teacher-choreographed.

The group, made up of Aaron Stewart, Laura Mcfadzean-Griffiths, Lauren Jose and Macaulee Cooper, said they were “overwhelmed” and “buzzing” after winning the competition and couldn’t wait to perform with Flava, although a date has not yet been set.

Aaron, who also came third in the individual competition and will have private classes with Penzance-based Flava, said: “I’m really looking forward to performing with them, we all want to be professional dancers and it will be a great experience and fantastic opportunity for our future.”
