Shoppers in Penryn’s Asda will have the chance learn more about the deadly symptoms of meningitis after a trailer was placed at the supermarket.
The hoarding is arriving on Jennings Roads this morning and will carry hard-hitting messages about the dangers of the disease for ten days to publicise Meningitis UK’s Search 4 a Vaccine Campaign.
The charity's founder Steve Dayman is launching the trailer.
He said: “Meningitis UK has a single focus - to find a vaccine to eradicate meningitis. Our Search 4 a Vaccine Campaign aims to raise £7million to help fund research into developing a vaccine against Meningitis B.
“We believe that the only way to eradicate the disease completely is through the development of a preventative vaccine and the awareness trailer is a big part of our public education programme.”
