A locally renowned restaurant in Falmouth will reopen in March under new ownership.

The Three Mackerel, with views overlooking Swanpool beach, has been taken over by Steve Shephard and his wife Vanessa, the owners of successful Truro restaurant Indaba fish.

Contacting Indaba for comment, Oliver Basham said that they are really excited about the new location, and that the Falmouth location is an ideal place to enjoy “Good food, Good wine, and good entertainment in what will hopefully be a lovely summer”

Mr shephard has owned Indaba since 2007, and is looking to bring The Three Mackerel in line with the Truro based Indaba, with the Truro restaurant being renamed Indaba in the city, and the three mackerels is to be renamed Indaba by the sea.

A new menu is being created by Nick Taylor, head chef in Truro and Sanjay Das, the former head chef at the Three Mackerel restaurant.
