A charity near Penryn has secured the support of a new corporate sponsor to help boost its name online.
Outdoor education centre BF Adventure approached Channel Computing to help the facility improve its online presence and expand its website.
After staff from the Penryn-based web marketing firm had visited BF Adventure’s centre at Halvasso they were so impressed by what they saw that they offered to provide their services at a heavily discounted price.
Technical director, Pete Graves, said: “Channel Computing is delighted to be entering into this sponsorship with BF Adventure. We’re honoured to be working with a local charity that does so much to help young, and often troubled people, back on to the tracks.
“We very much admire their work and their ethic and also find it really exciting to have this resource so close to Penryn and Falmouth.”
Channel computing will be using its digital marketing experience to help BF Adventure communicate its message and services on the web using social media, blogging and search engine optimisation – making sure it is high up online searches.
Chief executive at BF Adventure, Tony Hogg, said: “We can already see first improvements to our website performance and are very much looking forward to a great partnership with Channel Computing.”
“As a charity we need to work with the community, promote our success and work to tight budgets: corporate partners play a major role in sustaining BF Adventure and thus our support to disadvantaged people in Cornwall.”
