Icy conditions could affect county

A weather warning has been issued for Cornwall, with forecasters predicting freezing conditions.

There is a risk of snow showers, especially on higher ground, and concern over icy roads and pavements.

The warning, issued by the Met Office, covers Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

It reads: "Wintry showers will affect parts of the UK at times over the weekend, notably the north and west, although a few parts of the east may miss the showers altogether.

"The public should be aware of the risk of ice on roads and pavements, particularly each night and morning."
