Police continue investigation into Falmouth child bottle attack

A gang of four girls, who allegedly attacked a 13-year-old outside a pub in Falmouth earlier this month, are being dealt with by the police while any action against them is finalised.

The victim, Katie Linthwaite from Penryn, was left bleeding from her scalp after being hit over the head with a miniature wine bottle outside Wetherspoons on June 5.

Her alleged attackers are all under the age of 17 and are therefore being dealt with under the youth justice system.

Sergeant Dave O’Neill, from Falmouth police station, said that statements were still being put together in regards to the attack.
