PENRYN College year 11 students had a night to remember when they dressed to impress at the Green Lawns Hotel in Falmouth.
The students forgot the stresses of the last few months to joyfully mark the end of their GCSE exams.
After arriving in a varied selection of transport, from classic cars and stretched limousines to tanks, tractors and an “absolutely huge” articulated lorry, the students got ready for a celebratory meal and a well deserved dance.
The teenagers dazzled in glamorous gowns and trim tuxedos, with all of them making an effort to look their best on their special night.
Assistant headteacher Dan Mather said: “The boys this year, in particular, looked very smart. The girls looked as lovely as ever - they always have done - but the boys were businesslike and fit for purpose.
“It was a really lovely evening. We were delighted and really proud of them.”
He added that PCSO Lewis Vague from Falmouth Police Station had been “brilliant” at keeping everyone safe as they arrived.
