An application to turn an old Stithians stables, hay store and piggery into a special effects workshop has been given the thumbs-up.
Parish councillors resolved not to support the application, from Mr N Gorton of Penhalvean, because they believed it would result in the loss of agricultural land and would “set an unwanted precedent for light industrial use in the open countryside.”
Planners at Cornwall Council , however, overruled the recommendation and decided to approve the application subject to conditions.
