Cornish business woman Wendy Powell of MuTu System has won global recognition at a New York awards ceremony.

Cornwall Business and Hub Business Award winner Wendy Powell, of Helston, has been presented with two further awards at the international New York Stevie Awards for Women in Business. With more than 400 businesswomen and their guests in attendance, Wendy excelled above competition from organisations and individuals in 26 Nations to be awarded silver in the Female Entrepreneur of the Year category.

In an astounding display of achievement, Wendy’s multi-award winning and medically endorsed MuTu System was also awarded bronze in the Company of the Year category.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an international competition produced by the creators of the International Business Awards. Judges praised Wendy for her innovative product and commitment to her customer base, calling her the “epitome of entrepreneurial spirit.”

Wendy has catapulted from local Cornish awards to international recognition in quick succession and has highlighted the amazing work that small businesses are doing in Cornwall and around the UK.

She said: “I couldn’t be more proud of how much we have achieved. My main ambition is to help as many mums restore their confidence and take control of their bodies, and it’s so wonderful to be rewarded with recognition for doing something I love.”

MuTu System is a specially designed training program for women who want to shift the "mummy tummy," heal their core and pelvic floor, get strong, fit, and truly body confident inside and out.
