The Budock Vean Hotel's Natural Health Spa has introduced a menu of unique new therapies created by the spa’s new manager Martina Crkonova.

Martina’s “Healing with the Seasons” treatments for spring involve cleansing coconut, super-fruit bilberries and chamomile for repairing skin, red, white and green teas to drain away toxins and mint to spritz the senses.

“We’re looking out from the spa across these amazing gardens with everything coming back to life,” said the former sports physiotherapist who has also studied traditional Chinese medicine. “It’s logical for us to bring that idea into our spa treatments – regenerating skin, smoothing and refreshing in preparation for the first touch of spring sunshine.”

As soon as she arrived at the Budock Vean, fresh from setting up a spa in the Maldives, Martina saw the potential to celebrate the hotel’s natural surroundings, the changing seasons, the cycles of nature and incorporate them into the therapies of the spa.

Martina and her team have already taken spa clients through an autumn filled with scents of figs and coffee, rose-hips and vanilla mingling with the shimmer of gold and fragrant oils. Their winter therapies featured turmeric and fennel for the feeling of wellbeing, honey and gold for deep nourishment and charcoal and winter berries for vitality.

Spring’s treatments, made using sustainably sourced ingredients from around the world, are available now and complement the spa’s popular range of therapies by Elemis and Spiezia Made for Life.
