Constantine Women's Institute

Members have made a good start to 2012. In January David Chapman, wildlife photographer, entertained with a talk about his life and experiences.

February brought the annual meeting and new faces to the committee. President, Sylvia Dunstan, stepped down as president, and three other members also retired. Following a ballot, Angela Stokes was elected as the new president. Two members volunteered to join the committee, and they will all now work hard to provide an interesting programme of events, and also to liaise with the community of Constantine. Following the business of the annual meeting, Angela Stokes and Carol Pearce gave a very entertaining film show of photographs of their visit to Egypt in late 2010. It certainly sounded very memorable, if perhaps a little exhausting with so many wonderful places to see!

The next meeting was held at the WI Hall in Constantine on Monday and the speaker was Ann Sibbert who talked about fish cookery.
