Kids at King Charles Primary School in Falmouth lined up to witness every kid's dream, seeing a teacher get gunged.
Pupil paid £1 each to see deputy head teacher Linda Masterson covered in a sticky gloopy mess, all in the name of charity.
Crowds of youngsters gathered in the school playground on Thursday, May 1, to chant "gunge her", and watch as she had buckets of slime concocted in the school tipped over her head. Mrs Masterson will be heading off on a charity trek to the stunning ancient city of Machu Picchu, Peru and the messy fundraising was part of her bid to raise as much cash as possible for Cornwall Hospiscare.
Despite already reaching the £3,000 mark needed to go on the trek she was determined to raise more.
She said: "We have raised another £150 today and I have also raised over £1,000 extra through sponsorship but the sky is the limit, it costs a lot to fund the work Hospiscare do."
Mrs Masterson came up with the idea to get gunged after seeing it on children's TV.
She said: "Kids always like to see teachers get gunged."
While two of the three buckets were thrown by fellow teachers, one was handed a young pupil who was so keen to see Mrs Masterson splattered from head to toe he brought in £10.
