Stolen vehicle discovered in Falmouth

A stolen vehicle was discovered by police in Falmouth yesterday afternoon.

Officers made the discovery following reports of a suspicious vehicle near Falmouth School at 5.20pm.

Checking the vehicle, officers found that the number plates it was displaying had been reported stolen from a Volkswagen in Camborne.

The car itself was found to be taken from Wood Rise in Penryn overnight on May 8/9.

  • Three people have been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, being carried in a stolen vehicle and theft of number plates. The trio - a 28-year-old man from Falmouth, a 27-year-old woman from Falmouth and a 25-year-old man from Torpoint - remain in custody at Camborne police station at this time.
