From Sunday, bus operator First is introducing more summer buses for Cornwall by improving the frequency of services for the holiday period.

New Service 87 will now mean that First will offer two buses per hour between Newquay and Truro, during the Monday to Saturday daytimes period.

Also operating in Newquay is Summer Service 305 that will run every 30 minutes from Newquay Town Centre to Trevelgue Holiday Park, Smugglers Haven and Tregustic Holiday Park, serving the Railway Station along the way.

Summer Services 314 and 317 will run every 30 minutes between St Ives Town Centre, St Ives Holiday Village and Hayle Monday to Friday, with slightly reduced frequencies on Saturdays and Sundays. Service 314 will then continue hourly to Hayle Towans and Camborne, together with Service 14 this provides two buses per hour between Camborne and St Ives for the summer.

Service 317 continues hourly to Marazion and Penzance, and together with Service 17 and 300 this provides up to four buses per hour between St Ives and Penzance.

There are new leaflets available showing the special summer timetables, and they are available from local Tourist Information Centres, Holiday Parks and both First Travel Shops in Camborne and Penzance.

First Devon and Cornwall also offer the Cornwall Explorer open top bus route between St Ives, St Just, Lands End and Penzance offering great views of the Cornish Coastline.
