Around 1,800 women took to the streets of Falmouth this morning, all with the same aim - to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Falmouth's Race for Life, supported each year by the Packet, saw women of all shapes and sizes, both young and old, completing the three mile/five kilometre route along the seafront and around Pendennis Point.
Some ran, others walked, but all were determined to go the distance and raise vital funds for the work of Cancer Research UK, including treatment, care provision and prevention methods.
On their backs competitors displayed heart-warming and often emotional descriptions of why they were taking part - some in memory of loved ones, others simply "for a better future."
All were cheered on by crowds of supporters lining the route.
A team from the Packet was also out in force, taking part in the event.
