Due to a bad weather forecast, the day trip to St Mawes by ferry was cancelled, but the evening visit to Gyllyngvase and Swanpool was able to go ahead.

The evening was led by Derek Godridge who advised members on their camera settings to get the best from their cameras given the lighting conditions. A variety of subjects were covered throughout the evening which included wildlife, macro and landscapes, practising depth of field and the importance of using the correct aperture and ISO to maximise the desired effect the photographers were trying to achieve.

As the evening progressed, the lighting changed for the better and there were some very good results achieved by those attending. The evening ended with a glorious sunset which members were able to use to their advantage and practice the techniques Derek had taught. Everyone said it had been an excellent, enjoyable and informative time and they'd learnt a great deal from Derek's tuition.

On Sunday members met at United Downs Raceway for an afternoon of Banger Racing and Caravan Chaos.

Our next outing is on Thursday when members will meet at the entrance to Kennal Vale Woods at 6.30pm.
