On Thursday members met on Custom House Quay for a Tall Ships Walk, visiting the docks to wander along the quayside and go aboard some of the ships.

The ships were a magnificent sight and it was a pleasure to see so many people enjoying the spectacle, which provided even more photo opportunities. We finished the evening at Events Square to see the Fisherman's Friends perform, which was a wonderful unexpected bonus.

We now know that the favourite photo as voted for by the public at our Penryn Fair Day Annual Exhibition, was 'One Man and His Dog' by John Coward.

We start our new season on Thursday. Our first meeting is an open evening to help new members become familiar with, and learn to use, their cameras etc. Members will also be able to ask questions of our more experienced members on any topic.

The final outing of our Summer Programme will take place on Friday with a visit to St Michael’s Mount or for those that prefer, Trengwainton Gardens. Penryn Camera Club is a friendly club with plenty of members who are willing to share their knowledge and help you to improve your photography. We meet on Thursdays at The Space, Penryn Rugby Club. If you are interested in photography and would like to learn more about joining the club, you can visit the Camera Club website at www.penryncameraclub.org.uk or speak to the club Chairman Mark Walker on 07518 299379. You can also find us on Facebook.
