On Wednesday evening a very appreciative audience was treated to an organ recital by John Keys. The music ranged from Wagner to Henry Wood and closed with a spectacular performance of the last movement of Guilmant’s First Symphony.

The Saturday Lunchtime Concert was given by Constanze Reif and the programme consisted of the song cycle Frauenliebe und Leben (A Woman's Love and Life) by Robert Schumann. Constanze sang this little heard work with great understanding and insight.

Organ music for the Sunday services was taken from Couperin’s “Messe pour les Couvents” with the exception of the evensong organ voluntary which was “Will O’the Wisp” by Gordon Nevin who rejoiced in the middle name of Balch. The preachers on Sunday were Jan Winslade and the Rev Stephen Tudgey.
