From the ethnic drum sound at the beginning of the service to the chink of the tea cups being put away at the end of proceedings, an enjoyable time was enjoyed by the congregation at the inspiring “Women’s World Day of Prayer Service.”
The inspiring service arranged by the Christian women of Malaysia, was led by the Rev Christine Marshall with the organ music being in the capable hands of Sylvia Dyer, who also accompanied the first soloist, Elizabeth Hyde. Amanda Brodie played the piano for the second soloist, Sharon Hicks. Members of Mawnan Churches Together played a significant part in the service with their eye-catching banners, their readings and meditations, not forgetting the mouth-watering refreshments after the service.
The collection amounted to £108.05, which included money recoverable from the Gift Aid donations.
