BUDDING artists can learn the skill of willow weaving on a special course in Porthleven next month.

It will take place at the Old Lifeboat House, situated on the edge of the outer harbour, which was converted into an art studio and gallery in June 2010. It is run by The Trevor Osborne Charitable Trust, and provides affordable premises for artists and designers and a facility for the community to engage in creative activities.

The course is being taken by the very talented willow weaver Geraldine Jones and takes place on Saturday, December 1 from 9.30am to 12.30pm. It will be a great opportunity to meet new people whilst learning a new skill.

The course costs £12.50 per person including materials and refreshments. For more information, contact Rosie on 01326 574270, or visit lifeboatstudio.co.uk.
