A trio of military wives from RNAS Culdrose are holding a Christmas craft fair in Helston this Sunday to raise money for the Royal British Legion (RBL).

Vicky Junor, Michelle Wiggins and Natasha Wright want to raise £10,000 for the RBL through a series of fundraising events.

Sunday’s event, taking place at the Culdrose Community Centre between 10am and 4pm, will feature 15 craft stalls selling the work of local people.

The CuldRoses military choir will be singing from 12.30pm and Father Christmas will be there all day.

Refreshments, including mince pies and homemade broth, will be served during the event.

Vicky said: “We want to bring awareness of the charity and that the younger generation also get support – it’s not just veterans. We want to support the Afghan generation.”

Events will culminate with a ball at Tregenna Castle near St Ives on March 2 next year, which will be the main fundraising event.
