Members of Helston and St Keverne Young Farmers' Club were given the chance to use their debating skills as part of a regional speaking competition.

Matthew Hosken, Rachael Benney, Beth Tremayne and Frances Hosken, joined by a few supporters, travelled to Ladock Village Hall to take part in a Brainstrust competition.

The team answered questions on illegal immigrants, online cattle markets and capital punishment.

The questions got the debate flowing, with everyone having strong opinions on the subjects.

The same day, for their weekly meeting, the remaining club members received a tour of Treswithian Crematorium, where they were shown around and shown how things work.

This Friday members are going ice skating at the Eden Project.
