There was no excuse for parents and friends of Landewednack Primary School not to buy plenty at its Christmas fair when it featured the launch of a new shopping bag.
Covered in self portraits of the children and staff at the school and adjoining Little Lizard Children’s Centre, the bag is being sold in aid of both.
Made of heavy duty cotton, the bags proved popular at the fair although there are still some left, which can be bought by calling into the school office.
At the fair the school hall was packed full of stalls, including Christmas treats, raffles and games for the children.
Beforehand the children had been given a bauble to take home and decorate in a competition organised by the School Association.
All entries were then judged by the school's chair of governors Alix Lord, who said what a difficult task she had been given as all the baubles were “fantastic.”
The fair was hailed a great success, with £408.25 during the afternoon.
The school has thanked the members of the School Association, everyone made cakes or donated raffle and tombola prizes, and everyone who supported the fair.
