Supermarket raffle raises cash for Helston first responders
Helston’s Sainsbury’s supermarket held a Christmas raffle to raise money for Helston and Lizard First Responders.
The First Responders – who are medically trained and often first on the scene of an emergency, to provide immediate care before an ambulance arrives – are the store’s charity for the year, and other fundraising events throughout the year have been held for this cause.
The Christmas raffle, partnered with another raffle held earlier, has raised a total of £1,625.70.
There were a total of 24 prizes up for grabs. Some of the lucky winners included Claire Williams, who won a new television and Jamie Mitchell who received a hamper full of luxury goods.
Sainsbury’s Helston has thanked all of its customers and everyone else who showed support for the draw.
