Helston Theatre Company headed out of the town’s Epworth Hall on Sunday when some of the cast visited Godolphin Care Home.
Here they performed extracts from their pantomime Cinderella, which runs over five days next week.
With many of the residents no longer able to go to the theatre, the visit gave them an opportunity to experience the joy of pantomime.
Bethany Lyne, from the theatre company, said: “The cast had a great time singing some of the songs from Cinderella and chatting to the residents at Godolphin.”
It was a big week for two of the pantomime’s lead characters, Buttons (Gary Hunt) and Cinderella (Alice Massey), who also headed out for their ‘Helston Adventure’ visiting various shops in the town to promote the pantomime.
They picked out buttons for Buttons in Heathercraft, spices in Gillian’s Tubs and even arm wrestled in the Blue Anchor. Having tired themselves out, they stopped for a rest on the cannon before visiting a giant poster of themselves.
Cinderella runs from next Wednesday, January 23 until, Sunday, January 27. Due to popular demand, this year there will be an extra matinee on Sunday at 2pm.
Tickets can be bought from Heathercraft Fabric in Coinagehall Street or by calling 01326 568936.
