New pool for Mullion equestrian and holiday centre

Newton Farm and Equestrian Centre in Mullion will be able to extend its facilities for holiday makers after getting the go-ahead for an indoor swimming pool.

Mr and Mrs C Cattran have been given conditional approval to build the pool enclosure, which will cover the existing open air pool that they said was an “integral part” of the holiday accommodation at the complex in Polhorman Lane.

It will also include changing rooms, a treatment room and the pool plant.

Solar panels already provides power for the centre as a whole, but a separate system will be install for the swimming pool complex, which will be cooled and ventilated through wind power.
