Donations are still needed to help Helston-Lizard Rotary Club reach its target of £3,500.
As reported last week, the club is fundraising to buy Porthleven teenager Lily Veal a racing wheelchair in time for her to compete in the Mini London Wheelchair Marathon in April.
The 16-year-old, who suffers from cerebral palsy, has ambitions of becoming a Paralympic athlete.
Rotary members have been collecting money at Helston’s Sainsbury’s supermarket but need more donations to reach their target.
Donations can be sent to Rotarian Steve Ford, at 7 Cades Parc, Helston, TR13 8QS, with cheques made payable to Rotary Club of Helston/Lizard. Alternatively donors can telephone 01326 563402.
