New logo for Helston Theatre Company New logo for Helston Theatre Company

Helston Theatre Company has celebrated its continuing success by launching a brand new logo.

The logo brings together the letters H, T and C in a quirky design featuring a dancing man.

Chairman Paul Blaber said he was delighted with the result, adding: “We really think the logo represents the fun and energy within the company.

“We want to say a big thank you to Sam Scott, who was the brains behind it.”

After a successful production of Cinderella earlier this year, Helston Theatre Company is now busy rehearsing two shows.

The first, Between Mouthfuls, is entered into the One Act Play Festival in St Austell. Directed by Nikki Roberts it features a tight knit cast and a lobster thermidor!

For the second production Paul Blaber takes to the helm directing the musical Oliver! with one of the biggest casts Helston Theatre Company has ever seen. Audiences can see Oliver! at the Epworth Hall this April.

I can't see the penis on the "man".

Perhaps it is a bit like the Helston logo which is reputed to look like the trumpet bit of a Lilly of the valley flower, if you stare at in a certain way.
Perhaps it is hard to see!

It actually looks a bit Russian to me.

Same logo also works for Falmouth Theatre Company, if they feel like sharing the design costs.

They could have used the same logo for Helston, HTC. Helston Town Centre, at least it looks good and means something.

I actually thing the above logo is quite good. But better without the writing around it.

It is good, it is relatively simple but it works, and like I said, at least it
will mean something to locals and visitors alike. I feel something like that would have been good for the Helston logo and i would imagine cheaper and quicker to produce.

I agree something like this would have been much better for the town logo - it's like he's doing an energetic version of the Floral Dance!
