A new business selling “pre-loved” furniture and clothes has moved into an empty clothes shop in Helston.
The former Pla’s Boutique in Meneage Street, which traded as L&C Verran butchers for many years before that, has been taken on by the Lawley family.
They have called the shop Pre-loved Clothing and Furniture Boutique.
From here they are selling second hand goods, with the idea being that people take along their unwanted furniture and clothes that the family will buy off them and then sell on again.
Previously the family ran a tea room in St Ives, but dad Martin Lawley said this got very expensive.
He told the Packet: “We look round Helston and thought, ‘There’s nothing in Helston [like this], why not give it a go?’ We have had all the neighbours donate furniture.”
It will be a real family affair, with Martin joined by his wife Joanne and daughters Leah and Nicola.
