Runners from across the county will be heading to Helston next month for An Res Hellys, part of the county’s Grand Prix.

The ten mile multi-terrain run, which takes runners through the picturesque Penrose Estate and along the coast path towards Gunwalloe before returning to the town, expects to see numbers grow once again when it takes place on Sunday, March 24.

Last year saw over 450 runners from all over the county take part.

The run, organised by Carrick Leisure in partnership with Carn Runners, is the fifth race in the Cornwall Glass and Glazing Road Running Grand Prix and has established itself as a favourite in the running calendar due to its beautiful route and suitability for all levels of runner.

This year the race headquarters will be based at the Old Cattle Market, next to Coronation Lake, with registration starting at 8.30am for a 10.30am start.

Entries are now being taken online at carrickleisure.co.uk.

Pre-entries close on Sunday, March 10, but it is still possible to enter on the day.

However, pre-entered runners only will receive an event memento.
