Only four crimes were reported to the police from the St Keverne area during March.

The parish councillors were told by PCSO Julia Berry that two of these related to ‘harassment, alarm or distress’ allegedly being caused.

One of these has been filed as the person who reported it did not want to pursue the complaint, while the other is under investigation.

In another crime a vehicle was interfered with in St Keverne village and there was a report of criminal damage to a property at Tregaminion.

PCSO Berry told members she had visited the pre-school last month and spoken to the young pupils about how to stay safe.

She is now looking to hold ‘Have Your Say’ surgeries in the parish – to replace the previous PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meetings – to coincide with other events already taking place, such as fetes or coffee mornings.

Councillors agreed to send PCSO Berry the parish’s summer diary, so she could coordinate her visits around events.
