Helston’s ShelterBox founder Tom Henderson has been charged with several counts of fraud.
Mr Henderson, 63, from Helston, appeared at Bishopsgate Police Station in London yesterday, Tuesday.
He was charged with one count of fraud by abuse of position, in which he is alleged to have conspired with his son, John Henderson.
Mr Henderson was also charged with another count of fraud by abuse of position, a charge in which he is alleged to have conspired with his son John Henderson, and Darren Gervis, aged 41, of Beaminster in Dorset.
There has been a further charge of fraud by abuse |of position. Mr Henderson |is also charged with |the attempted theft of property.
In addition to being charged with the joint offences with his father, son John, from Hayle, has been charged with the theft of property, possession of a shotgun without a firearms certificate and possession of a firearm.
All three men have been ordered to appear at the City of London Magistrates' Court on September 4.
