Helston Farmers’ Market is offering customers the chance to win a hamper full of local goodies and make a donation to a good cause at the same time.

All people need to do is take along a store cupboard item, such as a tin of beans, to this Saturday’s farmers’ market at the Old Cattle Market from 9.30am.

In return, every person’s name will be entered into a prize draw, which will then take place out of all the entries, at noon that day.

The winner will receive a hamper including fresh crab from Cadgwith Cove Crab, free range meat from Chy an Besow, Cornish Gold coffee from Cornish Tea & Coffee, wild garlic soup from Fresshh, artisan bread from Hopes Bread, a plant from Higher Merther Nurseries, a baked goody from Cudna Kitchen and something from Speckled Bantam.

All the items donated by customers will be given to the Mustard Seed and Helston food bank by Light and Life Free Methodist Church.

The aim is to raise awareness and stocks for local food banks.
