Amateur brewers in Porthleven have pitted their skills against each other in an annual competition.
Taking place at Hammills Farm in the village, it challenged people to bring their home brewed beers, wines and fortified alcohol, which people were able to sample and choose their favourite from.
All the ales were named after sirens of the screen this year.
Organiser Judy Collins said: “It went very well, apart from the weather, which was a bit hit and miss. But everyone rallied around and it did go very well.”
This year’s winner in the beer category was Steve Nicholas, with John and Ron as runners up.
Winner of the wines was Jo Stephens, with Diane and Judy in runner up spots, while Ginny Harvell won the fortified alcohol class with her coconut liqueur.
Afterwards there was an auction to boost funds further, with bidding for vegetables grown and donated by Steve Nicholas, aka Bubs, which raised £40 alone.
In total the event raised £230, with this year’s charity chosen as Porthleven Primary School which is raising money for an eco-boiler.
“A good time was had by all,” added Judy, who thanked everyone for turning out in such bad weather, the farm for hosting and all the brewers.
