Nearly every reporter has, at one stage or another, had to sit through parish council meetings, and while the source of many stories, the last thing you expect to see is a famous comedian pop in to ask questions.

Comedian David Baddiel, who has a house in Coverack, attended St Keverne Parish Council to say he had contacted Cornwall Council over the fences at Dolor Point that had been washed away in the floods, and South West Water over the wall at the Paris.

The Pennon Group, for South West Water, was trying to establish whether they owned it.
