Cober Valley Rotary Club has been having a ball over the last few months — selling entries into its charity event this Sunday.
The club is holding its annual Ball Splash, this year in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance, in Coronation Park from 11am on Sunday More than 1,000 balls have been sold. Each ball is numbered and at 2pm on Sunday they will all be dropped into the River Cober at St John's in Helston.
From here they will float around half a mile downstream to Coronation Park. There will be cash prizes for the people who bought the first three balls arriving at the finish.
