The Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek is inviting all military service personnel and their families to come along and visit the seal rescue centre completely free.

If you serve within the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, Royal Marines or Army you can enjoy free admission for you and your family on Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12.

The sanctuary in Gweek is the only fully operational seal rescue centre in Cornwall and provides a lifeline for stray, sick and injured seal pups which have been discovered around the Cornish coast.

A spokesman said: "The Cornish Seal Sanctuary has organized this weekend as a way of thanking all of our military personnel and is inviting them to enjoy a weekend at the sanctuary with their families. We will also be offering a discounted pass rate for all military personnel and their families to purchase during the weekend.

Please bring with you proof of service when visiting during this weekend to receive your free entry.
