This year’s beer and cider festival at The Cadgwith Cove Inn has again been hailed as a great success.

Local beers, ales and ciders were available to sample all over the weekend, with representatives from Skinners Brewery on hand to meet and greet visitors to the inn.

A special guest took centre stage at the inn on Friday evening when “Betty Stoggs" herself made a scheduled appearance, mingling with the crowd and accompanying the ever popular Cadgwith Singers during their performance in the main bar.

Betty Stoggs is in fact a local ale brewed by Skinners Brewery and is a best seller at The Cadgwith Cove Inn.

The character is renowned for her charity work, including raising funds for the Children's Hospice South West and the Cornwall Air Ambulance, which are the adopted charities for the Truro based brewery.

Traditional public house games were available to provide outdoor fun for both children and adults alike, and musical entertainment throughout the weekend was provided by the Cadgwith Singers, Jordan Jane, Harry Rowland and Graeme Mathieson. Guy Chauker, accompanied by Irish Folk Musicians, bought the event to a close by late Sunday afternoon.

Landlords Garry and Helen Holmes said they were delighted with the weekend’s event and wished to thank Skinners Brewery, all of the musicians and everyone who came and supported them at the inn.
