With more than 600 entries Cury Village Hall Show has been judged a “great success”.

Philip Greet, chairman of the hall, thanked the new secretary Jeanette Dodd and vice chairman Paul Cook, together with everyone who helped to make the show such |a success.

He then introduced Justin Leigh from BBC Spotlight who presented the prizes.

Justin said he was overwhelmed by the number and high standard of all the exhibits and thankful that he was not a judge, having to choose.

He thought it was great that all ages were catered for as this helped to bring the community together.

There were several new faces to Cury Show this year, besides the regulars who have exhibited for a number of years. This was described as encouraging for the show organising team.

It was a good day for newcomers Joy Blackburn who won three cups for her home produce, Nicola Packman for her “beautiful” needlework, and Daniel Bagshaw |for his photography, with Kyle |Greet getting best exhibit in photography and Diana Davies winning for her art.
