For a third year running Mullion’s Poppy Café will be raising funds for the British Legion Poppy Appeal.
On Saturday, November 1, there will be a curry night, with six different curries on offer and the opportunity of voting for your favourite.
Tickets are £10 and need to be purchased either at the cricket club or by email.
Monday, November 3, is Room 101 night, featuring three local “celebrities” airing their pet hates. Tickets are £5 on the door, and include a ploughman’s supper.
On Saturday, November 8, the final night of poppy fortnight, there will be a poppy and pie auction, when an assortment of home-made pies will go up for auction, together with “poppy” items including a ceramic poppy from the Tower of London display, and signed commemorative poppy collections by Simon Weston and Geoffrey Wellum. Competition prizes will be awarded, and a hot supper will be available.
The café is open every day at Mullion Cricket Club with a taxi service from the village on 07415 773 773.
