Helston’s Old Cattle Market is gearing up to host a raft of Christmas events in the run up to the holidays, starting this weekend.

Whether you are looking for a way to entertain the children or indulge in some Christmas food and present shopping, organisers say they have planned something for everyone.

First up is a festive farmers market tomorrow (Saturday) with a selection of seasonal fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, bread, cakes, juices and dairy products from 9.30am until 1pm.

On Saturday, December 13, the Helly’s Christmas Craft Fair from 11am to 4pm will see more than 35 stalls showcasing everything from crochet to homeware, chutney to art, accompanied by musical entertainment and twinkling lights.

There will be a chance to do some last minute shopping on the Saturday before Christmas, December 20, at the Christmas Farmers’ Market where there will be outstanding local produce on offer as well as festive music and entertainment from 9.30am until 1pm.

“It’s going to be an exciting advent in Helston this year with so many events adding even more Christmas spirit to the town,” said Shirley Moralee, development officer for Helston Business Improvement Partnership.
