Mobile phone company EE has confirmed it has “resolved the technical issue” that was affecting signal in the Helston area last month.

The Packet contacted EE after receiving a number of complaints from readers about the loss of signal during daylight hours. The problems affected not just EE customers but also those on Orange and T Mobile networks, which now form part of the EE company.

People had been losing signal from around 9am until 6pm each day, but occasionally they had been without reception for longer.

Broadband was also affected in some cases and the problem was not isolated to Helston, with customers in Stithians reporting similar issues.

At the time EE said it was “investigating as a priority” and this week a spokesperson confirmed: “We're happy to report that our engineers have resolved the technical issue which recently caused some signal issues in the Helston area. We apologise to any customers affected.”
