A search and rescue helicopter from RNAS Culdrose was forced to land on Porthleven’s bowling green after a man collapsed suffering a suspected heart attack.
771 squadron was scrambled just before 10.45am on Monday by the South West Ambulance Trust.
Following treatment at the scene from paramedics, the 75-year-old pensioner was airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, landing just seven minutes later at 10.52am.
Lieutenant Commander Andy Watts said the man was conscious at this time.
