Lots of love-ly charity cash has been raised thanks to a Valentine’s Day disco hosted by Helston’s mayor.
Mike Thomas and his wife Briege organised the event at the Godolphin Club as part of ongoing fundraising over the course of his term of office.
Since he became mayor last May, Mr Thomas has been holding events and activities in support of Helston Community Hospital and a new fund he has set up for the deserving youth of Helston, to help them fulfil projects they are involved in.
Those donning their dancing shoes in the name of love were able to boogie the night away to music from DJ Shakey and also take part in a raffle.
Mr Thomas said he was pleased with the success of the evening, adding that the event raised in the region of £200, before costs.
