Sea King sent to Lizard emergency
A Royal Navy Sea King helicopter was sent to airlift an elderly woman from The Lizard yesterday afternoon.
The search and rescue aircraft from RNAS Culdrose’s 193 squadron landed at the village’s Landewednack School at around 5pm, and met paramedics who had been sent to treat the casualty.
The woman was then transferred to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske.
