With the arrival of warmer weather last week, it was a fitting time for Porthleven Methodist Church to hold its spring festival bazaar.
Taking place in the Public Hall, the event offered a range of stalls and activities for visitors, and raised more than £800 for church funds. For sale were cakes, light lunches, crafts and jewellery, with items for children and a raffle and Easter egg tombola for all.
Church secretary Margaret Notley said: “We were delighted with the money raised for church funds. Many people enjoyed it. Overall it went very well.”
She added that there was a steady flow of people through the event.
This was the chapel’s main spring fundraising event, with a similar bazaar held at Christmas.
