Members of the public will have the |chance to question all six candidates for |the St Ives Constituency in next month’s general election at a question time event |in Helston.
It will be held on Friday, April 17, in the council chamber above the Guildhall at 6.30pm for a 7pm start and questions on any topic will be welcome, but have to be submitted on arrival.
The candidates are: Tim Andrewes, Green Party; Graham Calderwood, UKIP; Andrew George, Liberal Democrat; Cornelius Olivier, Labour; Rob Simmons, Mebyon Kernow and Derek Thomas, Conservative.
The hustings will be chaired by Gary Matthews and is being organised by Lizard Peninsula Friends of the Earth. Anyone who has not yet registered to vote on May 7 will be able to do so online at the event, by providing their national insurance number.
The council chamber is accessible by stair lift from the Guildhall level for those with reduced mobility. More information is by calling 01326 290104.
